Calvin Ray Paving Contractor, Inc. has been laying asphalt across central North Carolina since 1949. That's not a typo. Our founder, Calvin Ray, came home from the Navy after World War II and got to work. He started paving driveways and parking lots with his own hands, building a reputation one job at a time across communities like Oxford, Franklinton, and the surrounding region.
Today, we are a third-generation family business. What Calvin Ray started over 75 years ago, his family continues with the same commitment he carried home from the service. We do not cut corners. We never have. That standard was set before most of our customers were born, and it still drives every job we take on.
